Sun Shore Construction removed it entirely and built a custom walk-in shower from scratch: frameless glass, floor-to-ceiling tile, and a multi-function shower system that makes the room feel completely new.

The Transformation
The old tub was removed and the entire shower was built from the ground up — full waterproofing, new plumbing rough-in, cement board, tile, and glass. The enclosure is finished with large-format gray stone-look tile on every wall, floor to ceiling, in a horizontal stack bond that gives the shower a clean, hotel-quality feel. The shower floor is covered in a dark hex mosaic tile, adding texture and contrast while remaining easy to clean and maintain. A large recessed niche on the back wall keeps toiletries accessible without cluttering the space.
A frameless sliding glass enclosure in brushed nickel spans the full width of the shower opening — no step, no threshold, just an open and airy entry. Inside, a ceiling-mounted rain head and a hand shower on a slide bar give the homeowner full control of their shower experience, all in matching brushed nickel. The existing window was preserved and integrated into the shower design, keeping the space naturally bright. Recessed ceiling lighting inside the enclosure completes the layout.
The bathroom floor outside the enclosure was updated with warm large-format tile, tying the room together and completing the renovation from wall to wall. The result is a bathroom that punches well above its original footprint.

Strongly recommend Eric if you are looking for someone to help remodel your bathroom. He is super professional and responsible. What impressed me most is that he is always trying to get things done perfectly even that would take longer time, instead of expediting the project. The bathroom remodeling work took around 3 weeks but I am very thankful for his team's dedicated and amazing work! Next time if I plan to do some other renovations, his team will be my first choice.
