Laundry Room & Dog Wash Station Renovation — Weston, MA

A Laundry Room That Works as Hard as You Do — Weston, MA

The homeowners at a home in Weston had a vision: a laundry room that wasn’t just functional, but actually enjoyable to be in — and a dedicated dog wash station that meant no more muddy paws in the bathtub. Sun Shore Construction built exactly that.

The result is a compact, high-design laundry room that handles the full workload of a busy household — including the four-legged members of the family.

The Transformation

The centerpiece of the renovation is the built-in dog wash station — a fully tiled, open walk-in enclosure with gray subway tile on every wall, a herringbone-patterned tile floor, a matte black handheld shower wand, a low-profile black basin, and a tiled white bench ledge that makes bathing a pet easy without wrecking your back. The design is completely open — no door, no curtain — just a clean, low-maintenance space that’s built to get wet and dry out quickly.

The rest of the room is every bit as considered. A stacked front-loading washer and dryer unit fits the footprint perfectly, keeping the room compact without sacrificing capacity. Sage green custom cabinets with matte black bar handles run above the dog wash station, providing smart storage right where it’s needed. The walls are painted in a matching sage green that ties the whole room together — practical and warm at the same time.

Every material was chosen to hold up to daily use: the herringbone floor flows right up to the threshold of the dog wash, the matte black finishes hide water spots, and the gray grout throughout forgives heavy traffic. It’s a room that’s as beautiful on day one as it will be on day one thousand.

Eric was very professional, efficient and responsible for installing our range hood. Everything was taken good care of by him. He tried his best to cover our furniture from the dust of drilling. We are very satisfied with our new range hood and happy to work with Eric again in future.

We hired eric to rebuild our bathroom. We want to combine the closets in separate rooms and make it a new bathroom. Eric got the idea and help us perfecting the plan. He is efficient in communication and always responds so fast. He finished the job in less than two weeks which is incredible, and the job was beautifully done. I feel that the team respect me and my house, they put cloth on the floor and got covers on the furniture to prevent them from all the dirt and dust. They communicate well about their view about the size of the cabinets - what is too big what is ok etc. They give you advice but also respect your choice. The price is pretty reasonable too!!! I have heard so many stories about how the contractor could slow down the work and charge more by hours. Eric and his team are just so good. Very honest people. Everything crystal clear. The most importantly, the work is neat and professionally done! I would recommend them 100% without hesitation!
