This Newton bathroom remodeling project began with a complete demolition of the old fixtures, tiles, and partition walls in both bathrooms. By stripping the space to its framework, we were able to create a brand-new layout designed for better flow and modern aesthetics. The divider walls were removed to open up the space while preserving the structural bearing wall for safety.

Once the new framing was in place, we built walk-in showers in both bathrooms, each equipped with a mud base, cement boards, and full waterproofing. Insulation was added to improve comfort and energy efficiency, including R-13 insulation on exterior walls and fire-block protection between floors.

All plumbing was redone from scratch to support the new layout — complete with new water supply lines, drains, shower valves, and connections for toilets, vanities, and even a washer and dryer setup. On the electrical side, we installed new exhaust fans, switches, outlets, and modern lighting fixtures, ensuring each bathroom was well-lit and ventilated. A dedicated outlet and venting system were also added for the laundry area, integrating convenience into the renovation.

Tilework played a central role in defining the project’s luxury feel. New wall and floor tiles were installed throughout both walk-in showers, as well as above the bathtub, featuring smooth grout lines for a flawless finish. Fresh drywall installation, plastering, and sanding ensured clean, even walls, ready for a modern color palette. The ceilings, walls, and trim were professionally painted to bring out a refined, cohesive appearance.

Finishing touches included the installation of new double vanities, mirrors, towel bars, and hardware that complement the sleek new design. Frameless glass shower doors, recessed lighting, and high-end fixtures completed the elegant look, transforming these bathrooms into luxurious spaces perfect for daily use and relaxation.
