Most tub-to-shower and shower replacements we do with solid wall panels and a one-piece base take about 3 days, from tear-out to a working shower. No grout lines to scrub. If we open the wall and find something that needs fixing first, we tell you before we go on.

What Happens Each Day

A typical fast shower replacement takes about 3 days:

Day 1, tear-out. We protect the floors, remove the old tub or shower and the wall surface around it, and check the framing, subfloor and pipes.
Day 2, base and plumbing. Repairs found on day 1 are made, the drain and valve are prepared for the new base, and the one-piece base goes in. Plumbing work is done by our partner licensed plumber.
Day 3, walls and finish. The solid wall panels go up, the trim, shower head and door or rod are installed, and we clean up and walk through the new shower with you.

Can a Shower Really Be Replaced in One Day?

Some companies advertise one-day bathrooms. A single day is enough to tear out an old tub, or to set a new base and panels on walls that are already sound, but usually not both, and not when there is hidden water damage behind the old tub. We plan for about 3 days so the drain, framing and waterproofing are done properly, and we tell you the schedule for your bathroom at the estimate.

The drain or valve has to move to a new spot
The wall framing or subfloor needs larger repairs
You want a custom tiled shower in a different size or layout
